This May 16, we are partnering with SCAD Atlanta, the Woodruff Arts Centerand other friends to host the third annual Chalk 1 Up 4 Safety “Chalk-Off”teen sidewalk art contest.
Chalk 1 Up 4 Safety or C1U4S, is a program created by Safe America to help encourage and empower teens to communicate with their peers, through the power of art, about safety issues for which they care deeply.
The week of April 20, middle school and high school aged teens are encouraged to get together with their friends or classmates to create a chalk-based sidewalk art message at their school, church, or with a different group they may belong to, stressing the idea that – when it comes to texting and driving - " It Can Wait®.”
The top 10 designs in the middle and high school age brackets will be invited to compete for $500 at the Chalk-Off, taking place in Atlanta at the Woodruff Arts Center Piazza on May 16, from 9:00 am to noon.CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE
