Safe America Foundation / Allstate Foundation
Safe Teen Georgia Program

The Allstate Foundation has provided a grant to the Safe America Foundation, for the second year, to offer its SafeTeen Georgia driving program to approximately 150 High Schools in the metro Atlanta area. This school-year long program is aimed at raising awareness of safe driving behaviors for high school students, by engaging them and their parents in educational activities.

Safe America Foundation and the 100 Black Men of Atlanta organization are partnering to bring the SafeTeen Georgia program to the Atlanta Public Schools System.

The SafeTeen Georgia program will involve Georgia PTA, Private and Public Schools, Student groups and faith based organizations. Safe America Foundation has put together a series of educational contests and events that will promote safe driving for teens in the following categories:

Freshman Education: The freshman that gets the most classmates to pledge to be safe drivers, and writes the winning essay on the importance of driver safety – wins a prize. Download Pledge Form Here!

Parent Education: The participating school PTA that has the largest attended PEP (Parents Educating Parents) rally to train parents to teach their teens how to drive wins a cash prize (minimum requirements apply). Download PEP Rally Forms Here!

School Involvement: The school with the largest number of students who complete and graduate from a State certified Driver Education course by May 1, 2012 wins a cash prize. Download Form Here!
Safe America Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation. To fulfill its mission to address safety issues through education and training, Safe America manages the federally funded Cobb Safe Communities program. In addition, Safe America also provides safe driver courses at six affiliate locations in the metro Atlanta area. These courses include a state certified full Driver Education course with classroom, simulator and behind the wheel instruction plus Defensive Driving and other classes to hundreds of teens every year. Safe America Foundation driving schools will be participating in this program, and offering discounts for Driver Education courses as part of the SafeTeen Georgia program.
